Issue: Promote automation of manually performed product transfer processes
Existing Problems/Requests
- The repetitive work of transferring products is done manually, but the work time is inconsistent, making it difficult to improve production efficiency.
- We are considering the introduction of industrial robots to advance automation, but are having difficulty finding equipment to fit within the limited space available.
Solution: Improve Productivity With a SCARA Picking Robot Movable in All Directions
Improving productivity is an important issue for parts manufacturers, and there has been a desire to automate the manufacturing process even a little.
The repetitive work of transferring parts is done manually in the current parts production line, and they are considering automating this process. They envision the installation of compact equipment that can fit into existing open spaces rather than large-scale production equipment.
Space-Saving by Moving the Robot up and Down Electrically
The Small Robots OVR 3-axis SCARA robot has a flat structure than general SCARA robots, allowing it to operate in spaces with limited vertical clearance. Also, its lightweight enables smooth vertical movement when combined with the electric lifting columns EL Series, allowing the transfer of loads to a multi-stage conveyor.
By installing the SCARA robot and replacing the two conveyors arranged side by side with a single multi-stage conveyor, thereby realizing space savings.

Movable in All Directions Shortens Takt Time
SCARA robots offer products that can operate in all directions. It can reach the load in the shortest possible time, helping to reduce takt time.
Easy-to-Control Robot Controller
The MRC01 is the robot controller that controls the Small Robots OVR 3-axis SCARA robot. Setup is done with MRC Studio, a programming software that can be downloaded free of charge. Even those with no robot programming experience can use the intuitive command icons and numerical input for easy use.
Reliable Setup Support
For customers who have purchased the Small Robots OVR and the easy programming robot controller MRC01 but are unsure about the initial configuration, we offer a paid service in which we work with customer to create robot programming for their equipment and assists with vision sensor setup. This service helps reduce the customer’s workload and overall labor hours.
