Stepping Motors: When selecting a stepping motor for my application, is there a permisible load inertia?
Answer : When using a large load inertia with a stepping motor, starting or stopping the motor can sometimes cause vibrations. These are also known as over-shootings and under-shootings. Such vibrations can cause missteps.
As a referance, the permisible load inertia of our recommended products are stated below:
